Frequently Asked Questions
Getting Started
1
What is an intro meeting, and do I need one?
It is a free meeting with your selected teacher, typically scheduled during what will be your lesson time. The meeting allows you to meet the teacher, go over goals, expectations, experience and make sure it is a good fit for your student before committing to lessons. An intro meeting is not mandatory, but definitely encouraged.
2
How quickly can I set up a lesson?
Typically, we set up lessons a week or more in advance. But if you want to get started sooner and there is availability, we can get you set up for as soon as the following day. When it comes to academics, we understand emergency cram sessions and the last-minute need for added support.

Does Veritas offer virtual lessons?
Yes, most of our teachers are available via zoom as well as in-person. You can also opt for virtual lessons at any time, and for any reason. While the meeting link is always included in your reminder email, we do ask that you notify the center and/or your teacher of the zoom meeting.
4
How long will my lessons be?
Most students take 30 minute lessons once a week. We also offer 45 minute lessons and 60 minute lessons for older or more advanced students. We also offer a 15 minute lesson to start if the student's attention span or commitment isn't quite ready for 30 minutes. Typically this is for 3-4 year olds and comes with the understanding that as they develop necessary skills they will grow into a 30 minute lesson.
